Spectrelles are back! The famed Diva’s of Doo-Wop, Toni, Baby Tracy and Vivee will be performing…you guessed it, Guy Harvey’s Island Grill in Key West. The Miami Herald describes the group as “Life Sized Barbie Dolls with the grace of The Supremes, and the hips of Tina Turner”. The renowned group has a #1 hit record and has toured the world performing with such icons as The Coasters, The Drifers and Chuck Berry. Michael McCloud performs regulary at the Guy Harvey Island Grill. He sings many songs that sound like Buffett could have written them. He really does not like Buffett. Anyway he has a song he wrote about 20 years ago and sings all the time. It is called “Tourist Town Bar.” It is on his CD “Greatest Hits.” Well, Toby Keith was in town doing some recording at Buffett’s recording studio last year and they spent many hours at a particular bar listening to McCloud. Now Toby Keith has a new hit that went all the way to the top of the charts. It is call ‘I Love This Bar’. The hit sounds a lot like ‘Tourist Town Bar’. Larry Baeder Band combines blues, jazz, country, R & B and funk with a Cuban twist and sometimes will blend all of these elements with in a phrase. Baedar has spent a lifetime in the music industry as a sought after guitarist, arranger, composer, producer and musical director for some of the most legedary artist of our times. Larry was inducted into the royal family of the blues world sharing the stage with the legedary kings (and queens) of music. People like Muddy Waters, James Cotton, the Allman Brothers, Bonnie Raitt, John Lee Hooker, and Dan “Elwwod Blue” Akroyd. Beader became a memeber of the prestigious house band at the Apollo Theatre, where he played guitar for the legends of R & B and soul. Acts like The Coasters and The Shirelles among many. He toured with Bo Diddley, And Dennis Edwards, Eddie Kendrix. Performance Times: 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Dates: October 6th, 7th, 14th, & 21st
40 Foot Sharpie was formed in the late summer of 2006. Vocals and harmonies have been the focus and have demonstrated by 2, 3 and sometimes 4 part harmonies. Performace Times: 9 p.m. to 1 p.m. Dates: October 12th, 13th, 19th & 20th.
