Parrot Heads are returning to Key West, October 30th – November 2nd for the 17th Annual Meeting of the Minds…and we can’t wait! For approximately the last 7 years, Key West has welcomed the Parrot Heads from all over the world. There are over 200 clubs around the U.S., Canada, Europe and Austrailia. In other words, that brings A LOT of Jimmy Buffett fans on a 2 by 4 mile Island for four days! They come together to promote fellowship (definition: partying it up in style), volunteer service and raise money for many charities.
Guy Harvey’s Island Grill in Key West has a special place in our hearts for the Parrot Heads and is a one of the places the Southernmost Parrot Head Club conduct their meetings. The Grill recently donated a Land Shark Surf Board to the local Key West chapter for the “Welcome to the Island” party. The surf board will be one of many items in a silent auction to raise money for local charities.

I live in central Florida and have never been to THE KEYS, can you believe that. I want to come down so bad, mabe next summer with lots of Polk County friends. Maybe in the meantime, something for charity, a concert or something, can be sponsored in central florida. Like our favorite spot, Jupiter? I’m a big Guy Harvey and Jimmy Buffett fan!
